WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION: Grief & Loss

We have all felt the devastating sting of loss, whether it’s through the death of a loved one, divorce, end of a friendship, etc. Our pain cannot be measured or compared to another’s because every experience someone has is relative only to them, and everyone’s ability to cope is at different levels. One thing we all have in common is that we can all benefit from whatever help we are able to find when dealing with grief. Part of why we grieve so deeply is because we love so deeply. Unlike what we may have heard, the stages of grief don’t happen in a neat, orderly way, and there is no wrong way to do grief. Although the initial pain of loss can feel insurmountably heavy, know that it won’t always feel that way. These are some affirmations that have helped me along the way.

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations in the photo. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!

I am discovering new strengths within myself. •I allow myself to heal at my own pace. I will be patient with myself and with this process I release all blame and allow love and forgiveness to help heal me. Bridge To Balance, LLC'

Happy Earth Day!

There are lots of different ways to celebrate Earth Day:

• plant a tree
• begin composting
• plant a vegetable garden
• recycle if you don’t already
• ride your bike instead of driving
• fix something that broke instead of throwing it away
• put up a bat house so they eat the mosquitos instead of spraying poison in your yards...

Just a few ideas to get started!

In honor of Earth Day, I’m trying out this super eco-friendly product— laundry detergent sheets! Once I receive them and try it out, I’ll let you all know how it does on our laundry and our sensitive skin!

If each of us made a little extra effort to be gentler to the earth that sustains us, what a difference it could make.

RESILIENCE.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Life is in a constant state of change, and resilience calls for a willingness to change and adapt along with it. Something that may have worked in the past may not work as well in the present. We are never locked into only one way of doing something. Feeling stagnant or stuck in a particular situation? Open your mind to new ideas and try a different approach, and you may be pleasantly surprised!

There are times when we need to take a leap of faith and try something new, and then there are times when the only change we need is a change in perspective. Empower yourself!

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!
May be an image of text that says 'RESILIENCE. •My mind is open to new ideas and perspectives. I am willing to listen and observe. It is safe for me to change my mind. I am humble and continue to learn every day. Bridge To Balance, LLC'

AFFIRMATIONS HEAL.

What are the words you use the most? What are the words you say to yourself? Are they loving? Are they kind and supportive?

The affirmations for our Weekly Mala Meditations are the ones I created for my own self-healing journey, and I’m happy to share them with all of you.

It’s important to remember that as you’re saying the words (whether out loud or in your head) to FEEL what you’re saying- that’s what gives it intention. Words and the intention behind them are very powerful, and when done in repetition, the impact is magnified. This is why repeating affirmations can make positive shifts in mind, body, and spirit.

The deepest healing occurs in a state of relaxation which is another reason why meditation is so beneficial.
Mala Meditation combines powerful affirmations with repetition and relaxation, and is the perfect combination for healing!

It’s not necessary to use a Mala for the affirmations, but it is extremely useful for keeping yourself on track from start to finish, and they’re a beautiful reminder to keep meditation a regular part of your routine.

If you’re interested in getting a Mala of your own, check out the Shop on my site (link in bio), or let me make a custom-made one for you!

WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION - March 28, 2021

WEEKLY MALA MEDITATION

We are always presented with new ideas for attaining better health, or want to incorporate something different into our routines. It’s a true challenge to commit to these changes and to create healthier habits. We start out full steam ahead, only to start slacking until we drop it all together, and then beat ourselves up for it. For this reason, it’s best to start small and work your way up to bigger goals. Here is some excellent advice from The Holistic Psychologist about keeping promises to yourself: “Begin with ONE SMALL promise that takes UNDER 10 minutes to complete. Keep it every day. Some examples of small promises you can make to yourself are: journal for 5 minutes each day; go for a 10 minute walk; drink 1 glass of water every morning; dance/sing/move your body; meditate for 5 minutes; read 5 pages of a book; do 3 rounds of deep belly breathing.”

HOW TO USE YOUR MALA:
Starting next to the guru bead, move your fingers from one counting bead to the next as you say the affirmations. Once you’ve returned to the guru bead, you have completed a full meditation!

May be an image of one or more people and text that says 'SHIFTING HABITS I keep the promises I make to myself. •I can look at myself without judgment. I forgive myself for my mistakes, and will do the next right thing. Every day is a chance at a fresh start. I will take one day at a time. Bridge To Balance, LLC'
